These are GUIDELINES and can be adjusted according to weather conditions.
a.. Tornado Warning: In the event a Tornado Warning (not to be confused with Tornado Watch) is issued for the ball field region, games will be postponed, and players should take appropriate action regarding travel to/from the ballpark.
- NOTE: The La Vista fields are located on the northern edge of Sarpy County, near the southern boundary of Douglas County. Games in progress will be suspended at the discretion of the umpire.
b.. Hot Weather Procedures: While the Accuweather Real Feel temperature threshold is 105 degrees Fahrenheit or above at the La Vista location, morning temperatures should not be an issue. If the situation arises, it will be a gametime decision amongst the managers and any board members present to cancel the games.
c.. Cold Weather Procedures: All games are canceled if the Accuweather Real Feel temperature is projected to be 45 degrees Fahrenheit or below at 9:00 AM at the La Vista location, with the call hopefully being made by 8PM the day before, if not by 7:30AM gameday at the latest.
RAINOUT PROCEDURES: If needed, a board member will evaluate the fields around 7am Friday and confirm the grounds-crew is lining the fields. We rely on text messages to the managers (Go or Cancelled) who then contact their teammates.
